The Friends of the Talkeetna Library runs entirely on the energy and generosity of people who believe in the power of community. Whether you give your time or make a financial contribution, your support goes directly toward the programs, spaces, and resources that make our library so special — from the Story Walk trail and Suzanne's Garden to children's programs, author visits, and the Little Free Libraries scattered around town. Every donation, big or small, helps us do more for Talkeetna. There are several ways to get involved, and we'd love to have you as part of our story.
Your Chapter in Our Story
Donations raised through the Friends of the Talkeetna Library are to support programs and activities at the Matsu Borough Talkeetna Library.
Endowment Fund
The Friends have an endowment fund at the Alaska Community Foundation. To contribute to that fund, please contact a member of the Friends to find out how to contribute.
Pick.Click.Give.
The Friends of the Talkeetna Library are participants in the Pick.Click.Give. Program associated with PFDs. Please consider donating part of your PFD to the Friends of the Talkeetna Library. Pick, Click Give donations can be made until March 31st.
Library Sales
Proceeds from the ongoing book and movie sale in the foyer of the library, are donated directly to the Friends of the Talkeetna Library. There are also book bags and journals for sale at the library that benefits the FOTL.
Volunteer
Whether you want to mentor young readers, help with community events, or pitch in however you can, we'd love to have you.
